We had an exciting summer preparing for a huge milestone in Halo’s journey, our very first Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival! We were absolutely thrilled to be chosen as Belladrum’s Charity of the Year for 2025.
A huge thank you goes to Ark Estates, who very kindly sponsored our very own Halo gazebo. This is a fantastic asset for the charity and will be used not only at Belladrum, but at future events too. It gave us a welcoming base in Charity Alley and a space where festivalgoers could stop, chat, and get involved.
Our gazebo was buzzing all weekend! Steph and Sophie ran our Halo Helping Hands workshop in the family area, where younger festival-goers enjoyed crafting, drawing around their hands, and writing about a moment when they helped someone.
We also hosted a mini rave just for our younger visitors, complete with glow sticks, dancing and lots of smiles, thanks to the brilliant DJ Claire. Adding to the atmosphere, Alan Hercher performed in front of the gazebo, bringing the vibes. We were also delighted to welcome Kenny Smith from Torridon, who stopped by to say hello.
One of the highlights of the weekend was welcoming our charity ambassador, Calum MacPhail, who came to the Halo gazebo after his performance to sign merchandise and meet supporters.
In the lead-up to Belladrum, Miele’s Gelateria showed incredible support by running a fundraising competition for Halo. They donated sales from their limited-edition birthday cake gelato flavour, helping to raise vital funds and spreading awareness of our work.
Our amazing Halo volunteers camped over the weekend so they could be up bright and early, ready to man the gazebo each day. Their dedication, energy, and enthusiasm made the whole experience possible.
Overall, Belladrum 2025 was an unforgettable weekend and a huge milestone for us at Halo. Being selected as Charity of the Year, meeting so many supporters, and sharing our mission reminded us just how strong our community is.
